Students write at their school or nearest Spirit of Math® campus — each country runs its own day inside the contest window (January 4 – April 5, 2027).

Top performers in each participating country are invited to represent their nation at the Global Round.

Invitees gather in Toronto, Canada to write the Global Round — with awards and recognition on the global stage.

The first Global Round made history.

In 2025, the Contest's global launch reached over 12,000 students in 15 countries — and for the first time, the strongest of them travelled to Toronto to write together.

In 2026, with 30+ countries and Grades 7–8 joining, the Global Round grows again.

The road to Toronto starts at your school.

The contest is written on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the University of Toronto Chestnut Conference Centre, 89 Chestnut St, Toronto. Delegations arrive the day before and tourism follows, so families on the full contest-and-tourism programme are in Toronto August 12 – 16, 2026. Registration pricing is shared directly with registered schools and country representatives — packages differ by country.
