What is the contest format for each grade?

Every student writes a paper set for their grade, and students compete in the grade in which they qualified.

At the Global Round, the day is built around two rounds:

• The individual contest — the heart of the event. Each student writes their own grade-level paper, and individual results determine awards.
• The team round — students are grouped into teams of a similar age, and by language, so every child can work comfortably with their teammates.

The Practice Centre has resources and past papers to help students prepare for both.
